What you’ll be doing… As a Supervisor in a hospital setting, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day delivery of catering or hospitality services for patients, staff, and visitors:

  • Supervise daily operations within your designated service area
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery, cleanliness, and food hygiene are consistently maintained
  • Lead and support team members with training, task delegation, and shift coordination
  • Ensure compliance with NHS policies, infection prevention controls, and food safety procedures
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and elevate issues where needed
  • Handle customer and patient queries in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks as required
  • Work closely with hospital and contractor teams to ensure service excellence and continuous improvement

Working pattern: 5 days out of 7 | 30 hours per week

What can you bring?

  • Previous supervisory experience in catering, hospitality, or facilities management
  • Experience in a healthcare or NHS setting is desirable but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards (Level 2 Food Safety required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate a team and lead by example
  • Organised and proactive, with a commitment to delivering great service
  • Compassionate and respectful, especially when working in patient‑facing environments
