Lexington is committed to safeguarding children and colleagues. Candidates shortlisted for this role will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including the Children’s Barred List.

Kitchen Porter

Responsible for transporting all goods to and from the delivery area, cleaning kitchen utensils and equipment.

Operational Skills

• Job Knowledge, Technical Knowledge, Customer Service

Duties include:

• Ensuring high standards of service quality for clients, customers, and the company
• Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment
• Using the correct cleaning materials
• Wearing safety glasses, masks, gauntlets, and other necessary clothing when required
• Understanding daily and weekly work schedules
• Attending staff meetings as required
• Adhering to policies and procedures in line with legislation and company standards
• Wearing a neat and clean uniform at all times
• Removing rubbish as needed
• Managing laundry services
• Reporting accidents to the head chef
• Checking incoming stock against invoices/delivery notes
• Logging temperatures of high-risk goods like dairy and meat, and reporting to the Sous or Head Chef
• Carrying out other reasonable management requests

Duties include:

• Effective team working through meetings and schedules
• Understanding short and long-term duties
• Attending relevant training courses

Duties include:

• Applying these skills to provide efficient, quality service
• Working reasonable overtime when required
• Performing basic food preparation

Note: Due to the dynamic nature of our business, your job description may evolve, and you may be asked to undertake other similar activities as directed by management.

Working Pattern:

• Monday to Friday, 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
• 20 hours per week
