To ensure that the Restaurant/Café/Lounge areas, counters and fridges are set up and maintained to the highest standards. To serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner.

Duties:

  • Ensure all counters, fridges and tables are set up prior to service time
  • Ensure constant replenishment of counters and fridges throughout service
  • Ensure attractive presentation of food throughout service
  • Ensure the restaurant area is always clean and tidy
  • Provide a high standard of customer service, dealing with customers politely and professionally at all times
  • Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages to the customer
  • Assist in maintaining levels of hygiene in the preparation and service areas
  • Carry out dedicated cleaning of equipment and/or areas as per approved cleaning schedules
  • Operate a till and be responsible for any money in their care in compliance with all procedures regarding financial security
  • Ensure correct storage and rotation of stock, when required
  • Wear the correct protective clothing and footwear at all times
  • Comply with all health, safety and hygiene regulations as laid down within the catering department and make due diligence reports if required
  • Report any equipment breakdowns or accidents to the Supervisor/Assistant Catering Manager/Catering Manager
  • Attend any training that is required
  • Carry out all reasonable tasks expected by management

Duties:

  • Ensure the highest standard of customer care is used at all times
  • Ensure all customers are served in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Pass on all comments and complaints immediately to the Catering Manager
  • Ensure high standards of personal hygiene
  • Ensure uniform is clean and tidy
  • Report all accidents and faulty equipment to the Catering Manager
  • Communicate all new ideas to the Catering Manager
  • Ensure full attendance to all training sessions, meetings and monthly reviews
  • Work overtime provided reasonable notice is given
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably directed by the management team

Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
