Lexington Reception Services (LRS) provides concierge-style reception services across client offices in London, delivering high standards of customer service and professional presentation.
Overview
To provide excellent service to clients, delivering the highest standard of customer service and ensuring duties are carried out to a high standard at various locations across London.
Operational Skills
Reception Services is responsible for all receptions across client offices. Core service hours are 07:00–19:00, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Stand to greet all guests/visitors and make eye contact within the reception area.
- Greet internal and external clients promptly, using the agreed welcome and addressing guests by name when established.
- Escort guests to required destinations or use the concierge service, ensuring smooth transitions between team members.
- Provide updates to visitors waiting for verification at reception at regular intervals.
- Welcome and escort guests to meeting rooms, take coats and luggage as required.
- Offer refreshments in the lounge area and keep guests updated on host’s arrival.
- Handle enquiries and requests in person, by telephone or email in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop client knowledge and share information with the team.
- Be aware of building facilities to advise guests appropriately.
- Answer calls to required standards and deliver messages promptly.
- Assist with hospitality duties where required on site.
- Assist with ad hoc duties as needed.
Team Work and Communication
- Communicate effectively with peers and management, with accuracy and attention to detail in verbal and written communication.
- Coordinate with conference floors and concierge to ensure smooth arrivals.
- Report new, ongoing or potential issues to the Reception Supervisor and follow up with a detailed email.
- Coordinate with conference, hospitality and reservations teams on bookings, changes and cancellations.
- Provide assistance according to business needs (e.g., lunch coverage, annual leave cover).
- Participate in cross-training when available.
Personal Presentation
Maintain a professional, polite and considerate manner at all times. Adhere to uniform and presentation standards per the dress policy. Please note that you will comply with site-specific standards and procedures informed during training.
