Role Overview
As a Catering & Hospitality Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service across all catering areas, including setting up counters and fridges to the highest standards. You will ensure customers are served in a friendly and efficient manner while supporting all aspects of daily operations within the catering and hospitality team.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality beverages consistently for all customers
- Ensure food displays, counters, and fridges are well-presented and maintained
- Follow store procedures and operational flow for efficient service
- Rotate and store products according to food safety standards
- Perform cleaning tasks as outlined in the daily cleaning rota
- Adhere to cash handling procedures and till operations
- Assist with the upkeep of hygiene in food preparation and service areas
- Always wear the correct protective clothing and footwear
- Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Report equipment breakdowns or accidents promptly to management
- Attend all required training sessions and development opportunities
- Support the team in achieving sales targets and improving profitability
- Carry out any reasonable tasks as requested by management
Customer Service & Interpersonal Responsibilities
- Greet and connect with every customer in a warm, welcoming manner
- Identify customer needs and make appropriate product suggestions
- Offer product demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment
- Respond to customer requests promptly and thank them after service
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both customers and colleagues
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professional appearance
- Ensure uniform is clean, presentable, and worn correctly
- Report customer feedback, comments, and complaints to the Catering Manager
- Share new ideas or suggestions with the management team
- Attend team meetings, reviews, and ongoing training sessions regularly
