What you will be doing:
As a Front of House Manager, you will manage the retail unit, a cafe serving Barista coffee, breakfast, lunch, homemade cakes, and grab & go. You will also be responsible for managing the front of house team that looks after the internal office space during the day. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to be present working in the cafe as well as performing administrative duties within your role, such as ordering, stock taking, and daily sales capture. In this role, you will have up to 4 direct reports and join a wider team of 16. You will work with other Heads of Department and the General Manager to ensure proactive management of teams on site as well as being accountable for recruiting, inducting, training, and supporting staff to deliver an efficient, high-quality service to Lexington Catering, our customers, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Motivating and managing a team.
- Being fully accountable for the breakfast and lunch operation of the cafe, ensuring that the presentation, atmosphere, look & feel, and service delivery are of a high standard.
- Accountable for the team delivering services to the free issue refresh points throughout the building, ensuring that daily tasks and deadlines are being met.
- Accountable for ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting, and client liaison to enable operational excellence.
- Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies, and duty of care to customers and colleagues.
