Lexington Ashworth Solicitors (SRA No. 8011832) is a growing law firm committed to delivering high-quality legal services across England and Wales.

We currently undertake private and legal aid immigration work and are expanding our Crime and General Civil Litigation departments as part of our long-term growth strategy.

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded and results-driven

Business Development & Marketing Manager to play a key role in the firm's continued growth.

This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to work closely with senior management to develop and implement the firm's business development and marketing strategy, strengthen our brand, increase client acquisition and support the long-term growth of the practice.

The Role The successful candidate will

  • Develop and implement the firm's overall business development and marketing strategy;
  • Drive client acquisition through digital marketing, referral partnerships, networking and other business development initiatives;
  • Oversee the firm's website development, content strategy, SEO performance, user experience and online presence;
  • Manage and grow the firm's social media platforms, including Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube and other appropriate channels;
  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to increase enquiries, client engagement and brand awareness;
  • Manage relationships with website developers, SEO consultants, marketing agencies, designers, videographers and other external suppliers;
  • Build and maintain strategic referral relationships with businesses, professionals and other introducers;
  • Represent the firm at networking events, conferences and business development meetings;
  • Assist with the development and launch of new departments, legal services and commercial opportunities;
  • Coordinate the production of marketing materials, legal updates, newsletters and promotional campaigns;
  • Develop and maintain CRM systems, marketing reports and enquiry conversion processes to maximise return on marketing investment;
  • Monitor legal market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to support the firm's commercial objectives;
  • Assist with business proposals, presentations, tenders and strategic growth initiatives; and
  • Work closely with senior management to strengthen the firm's brand, market position and long-term business strategy.

Requirements The successful candidate should have

  • Previous experience in business development, marketing, digital marketing or commercial growth;
  • Demonstrable experience managing SEO strategies, website optimisation, social media marketing, PPC campaigns and digital lead generation, either directly or through external agencies;
  • Experience developing business relationships and generating new work;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organisational, commercial and project management skills;
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a growing team;
  • A proactive, commercially focused and results-driven approach; and
  • Experience within the legal or other professional services sector would be advantageous, but is not essential.
