About the Firm
Lexington Ashworth Solicitors is an SRA-regulated law firm providing nationwide legal services. As part of our growth strategy, we are establishing a new Civil and Commercial Litigation Department, which is currently in the development phase and will operate on a remote and flexible basis. We are committed to delivering high-quality, well-governed and commercially focused litigation services, with professionalism, integrity and strong technical standards at the core of our approach.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil & Commercial Litigation Solicitor (3+ years’ PQE) to play a key role in the development and future growth of our litigation practice. This role is suitable for a solicitor who is technically strong, commercially aware, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, with scope to take on increasing responsibility as the department develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters
- Draft statements of case, witness statements, applications and settlement documentation
- Conduct negotiations, alternative dispute resolution and litigation strategy planning
- Ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules and court timetables
- Contribute to the development of robust systems, precedents and internal processes
- Support and collaborate with colleagues as the team grows
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) in good standing
- 3+ years’ PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
- Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
- Demonstrable experience handling litigation matters independently
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or flexible environment
- Professional, organised and client-focused approach to practice
