About the Firm

Lexington Ashworth Solicitors is an SRA-regulated law firm providing nationwide legal services. As part of our growth strategy, we are establishing a new Civil and Commercial Litigation Department, which is currently in the development phase and will operate on a remote and flexible basis. We are committed to delivering high-quality, well-governed and commercially focused litigation services, with professionalism, integrity and strong technical standards at the core of our approach.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil & Commercial Litigation Solicitor (3+ years’ PQE) to play a key role in the development and future growth of our litigation practice. This role is suitable for a solicitor who is technically strong, commercially aware, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, with scope to take on increasing responsibility as the department develops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters
  • Draft statements of case, witness statements, applications and settlement documentation
  • Conduct negotiations, alternative dispute resolution and litigation strategy planning
  • Ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules and court timetables
  • Contribute to the development of robust systems, precedents and internal processes
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues as the team grows

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) in good standing
  • 3+ years’ PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
  • Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
  • Demonstrable experience handling litigation matters independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote or flexible environment
  • Professional, organised and client-focused approach to practice
