This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment at our lodge while also preparing hearty, home-style meals for guests and staff. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes pride in their work, and enjoys the outdoors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.
- Change bed linens, launder towels, and manage laundry for guests and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dining, and lounge areas.
- Handle seasonal deep-cleaning tasks and organization of storage areas.
Cooking & Meal Preparation
- Plan, prepare, and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests and staff.
- Ensure meals are timely, nutritious, and suited to guest preferences.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory of food and supplies and coordinate with management for ordering and restocking.
Guest Service & Lodge Support
- Provide friendly, attentive service to guests throughout their stay.
- Work collaboratively with lodge management and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Support lodge events or group functions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or cooking (lodge or ranch experience preferred).
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Basic cooking and kitchen management skills.
- Friendly, professional and strong work ethic.
Physical Demands
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to clean or access supplies.
- Lift, carry, and move items up to 25 pounds.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Maintain energy and focus during long shifts, especially during peak guest occupancy.
