Lexia Education Services are seeking dedicated, specialist tutors to support vulnerable students struggling to access education. Through bespoke one-to-one tutoring we aim to provide positive community impact for children across Somerset.

Your Role as an SEN Tutor in Highbridge, Somerset

• Specialist Tuition – Offering creative child-centered interventions, collaborating and working towards a personalised package of academic, interest-based and mentor-focused support for learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).




• Creative Interventions – Use flexible strategies to improve engagement, build confidence, and develop social and emotional skills.




• Multi-Agency Working– Collaborate and communicate with families, professionals and the wider team, to promote the best interests of the child.




• Monitoring Progress – Record and report tangible examples of the student's work, targets, and development throughout the provision.

SEN Tutor Job Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – A recognised teaching qualification is required.




• Experience – At least 3 years of teaching/student support experience – experience working with SEN, SEMH learners is ideal but not essential.




• Commitment - A genuine passion and dedication to supporting vulnerable children and young people in need of your support.




• Communication Skills – Strong ability to engage effectively with students, families, and professionals.
