As we continue to expand our regional focus, we are looking to hire an Investment Associate to support our MENA investment strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing platform and play a key role in evaluating, executing and managing investments in the Middle East.

The Role

The Investment Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals on the origination, evaluation, execution and monitoring of investment opportunities across the MENA region. The role will involve assessing companies, sectors and themes aligned with Lexham’s investment strategy, supporting live transactions, and helping develop relationships with management teams, founders, intermediaries and regional stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong technical execution skills with sound judgement, intellectual curiosity and a clear interest in the economic and investment landscape across MENA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across the MENA region
  • Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses and return scenarios
  • Conduct commercial, financial and strategic analysis of target businesses, sectors and markets
  • Prepare investment committee papers, internal memoranda and presentation materials
  • Assist with transaction execution, including due diligence, structuring, documentation and process coordination
  • Monitor portfolio companies and support ongoing value creation initiatives where relevant
  • Track macroeconomic, political, regulatory and sector developments across MENA relevant to the firm’s strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with advisers, management teams, founders, investors and other regional market participants
  • Contribute to origination efforts by identifying attractive themes, sectors and companies aligned with the investment strategy
  • Work closely with colleagues across the wider firm on cross-strategy and cross-border opportunities

Candidate Profile

Required skills and experience:

  • 3–6 years’ experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, sovereign wealth, principal investing or a related field
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution skills
  • Experience analysing businesses and investment opportunities in a rigorous, commercial manner
  • Strong understanding of private markets and investment processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a demanding environment
  • Strong academic credentials

Preferred experience:

  • Experience covering or executing transactions in MENA markets
  • Knowledge of the economic, political and business environment across the region
  • Arabic language capability would be advantageous, but is not essential
  • Experience preparing investment committee materials and supporting portfolio monitoring
