Lexham Insurance was formed in October 2000 as a specialist moped, scooter and motorcycle insurance broker in the UK.

Since its creation, Lexham has continued to grow and has become a leading independent insurance provider.

Expansion has seen Lexham grow its portfolio of products, now offering in excess of 20 different insurance products including exclusive schemes for moped, scooter, motorcycle and motorhome insurance as well as bespoke products in both the motor trade and commercial market.

As part of a group, Lexham partners with Lancaster Gate Assistance Ltd who provide credit hire and FNOL services, CAM Legal Services Ltd a firm of personal injury claim lawyers and LXM Management Ltd who provide financing options.

ROLE PURPOSE

We’re looking for an experienced Third-Party Claims Adjuster to join our liability claims team, based in Diss, South Norfolk.

You’ll have credit hire experience with technical knowledge and experience in handling claims up to £50,000.

You’ll be comfortable handling your own portfolio and be an effective communicator.

  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • To manage third party claims focusing on indemnity, liability and quantum.
  • Review claims regularly using diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure.
  • Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously, and promptly.
  • Clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level where appropriate
  • Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves in accordance with company reserving processes.
  • Set clear expectations and next steps to the client.
  • Liaising with internal and external partners at all levels.
  • Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly, efficient service.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • The role will require the successful candidate to be competent handling all aspects of third-party motor claims, up to a value of £50,000.
  • Credit hire experience is essential.
  • The ability to handle and negotiate detailed liability scenarios, managing your own portfolio of litigated claims.
  • Knowledge of motor is essential
