A highly regarded Birmingham-based law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Property lawyer into a newly created, project-focused role within its Property team. This is a 12-month fixed term contract designed for a technically strong lawyer who enjoys stepping back from fee earning to look at how work is done. The focus is on process improvement, efficiency, and exploring how legal technology and AI can be used in a practical, lawyer-friendly way.
Rather than carrying a billing target, this role will work alongside partners and fee earners to review existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and help implement smarter, more consistent ways of working across the team.
The role will involve:
- Reviewing legal and operational processes across the Property team
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve consistency
- Improving and rationalising precedents, templates, and guidance notes
- Exploring where AI and legal tech tools could add genuine value
- Supporting partners and senior lawyers to embed practical, workable change
This role is likely to suit someone who:
- Is a qualified Property lawyer with strong technical foundations
- Has an interest in process improvement, innovation, or legal technology
- Enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders
- Is practical, thoughtful, and focused on improving how teams operate day to day
This is a rare opportunity to shape how a respected Property team delivers its work and to leave a lasting impact over the course of the contract.
