Our organisation is looking for an exceptional DevOps Engineer to join a passionate, collaborative, distributed group of engineers on our team. If you're a Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in public cloud orchestration, a passion for innovation and a desire to shape the future of communication technology, this opportunity is for you.
The Role
We are a well established technology scale-up with global deployments within Azure public cloud via both native and on-prem CI/CD pipelines. Your role will be at its core a modern cloud infrastructure engineer, including Kubernetes deployment and management responsibilities across the globe.
- Azure Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud resources using best practices to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable code deployments using tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps Code Pipeline.
- Monitoring and Logging: Manage monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus) to proactively detect and troubleshoot performance issues, as well as maintain a robust logging infrastructure.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions: Design and implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity, including RTO/RPO objectives.
- Linux System Administration: Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Linux environment, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.
- Scripting and Automation: Develop scripts (e.g. Python, Ruby, Bash) to automate routine tasks and improve deployment speed and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance and security standards are met across the infrastructure, adhering to best practices in data protection and cloud security, in line with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001, and implement compliance measures (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
- Performance Analysis: Analyse performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve platform performance, stability, and cost-efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders (internal and external) to communicate technical decisions, strategies, and roadmaps clearly and effectively, ensuring buy-in from both technical and non-technical teams.
- Work Management: Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision.

You Must have's:
- Hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Public Cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices (Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Terraform, Azure Bicep, or similar tools.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Azure Monitor, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash for automation.
- Strong knowledge of tools such as Github wiki and Github Projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions rapidly.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Like to have's:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Associate, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
- Advanced Linux administration skills and experience with shell scripting and automation.
