This is a different kind of role – likely not one you’ve seen before. You will move away from fee-earning practice and focus on the development, progression and experience of associates within the Corporate group at a leading international law firm. No HR or professional development experience is required. You just need to be a current or recently practising transactional associate at a law firm.

Our client, an elite NY-headquartered law firm, is seeking a transactional associate to take on a dedicated lawyer development role. This is an opportunity to step away from fee-earning practice and move into a people-focused position within the firm’s Global Professional Development function.

To give you a feel, some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting associate development, performance reviews and career progression
  • Working with partners to ensure associates receive consistent developmental feedback

  • Supporting onboarding, training and professional development programmes
  • Helping strengthen the cohesion and effectiveness of the Corporate practice
