Are you a Corporate / Transactional lawyer considering a move away from fee earning, but keen to remain close to the legal profession? I’m working with a leading international law firm looking to recruit a Corporate lawyer into its Talent Development team. This is not a traditional HR or L&D role. The firm is specifically looking for someone who understands life as a transactional lawyer - the pressures, career path, development needs and realities of working within a busy Corporate practice.

You’ll work closely with associates and partners, with a particular focus on the career development, coaching and progression of lawyers within the Corporate / Transactional practice.

The role would suit someone who:

  • Is a qualified lawyer with strong Corporate / transactional experience
  • Has trained and worked within a law firm environment
  • Enjoys the people, mentoring and development side of being a lawyer
  • Is interested in moving away from billing and fee earning
  • Wants to use their legal experience in a very different way

You do not need previous HR or Talent Development experience. Your credibility as a lawyer and understanding of the Corporate environment are what matter. For the right Corporate associate wondering “what else could I do with my legal career?”, this is a genuinely interesting alternative.
