Responsibilities

  • Oversee the new power assisted exercise suite at Thornton Health & Fitness Centre.
  • Lead on the implementation of tailored physical activity programmes and delivery of group-based activity.
  • Champion the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to community members and partners across Wyre.
  • Ensure usage data is generated and stored professionally.
  • Undertake client consultations to identify appropriate physical activity opportunities.
  • Deliver Active Wellness inductions and reviews.
  • Liaise with local authorities and medical practitioners.
  • Explore innovative, accessible new ways of delivering physical activity opportunities.
  • Represent the wellness team in meetings.
  • Assist with promotion of the Active wellness suite and health and physical activity programmes.
  • Plan and deliver monthly wellness events for members.
  • Deliver low impact classes.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleaning and health and safety within the wellness suite.
  • Cover shift patterns for leave and sickness as required, including weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Level 3 GP exercise referral qualification or equivalent, with experience in the field of health and physical activity.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Requirements

  • DBS: The position is regulated and requires a DBS Disclosure. If not already held, a DBS check will be submitted.
