The Opportunity

Lex Exec is working with a leading London law firm to recruit a junior Solicitor into one of the UK's largest and most highly regarded dedicated Rural Property teams.

The practice is consistently ranked in the top tier of both Chambers and The Legal 500, with an outstanding reputation for advising some of the country's most significant landed estates, rural landowners, institutional clients and conservation organisations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor with an interest in agricultural property and landed estates to develop their career within a genuinely specialist practice, working alongside highly experienced Partners and Associates on a broad range of complex and interesting matters.

The Work

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied rural property practice, including:

Acquisitions and disposals of agricultural land, rural estates and country properties.

Agricultural tenancies, farm business tenancies and rural landlord and tenant matters.

Commercial and residential property matters relating to landed estates.

Sporting rights, easements, rights of way and other property rights.

Renewable energy projects, including solar leases and development agreements.

Natural capital, environmental and land diversification projects.

More complex rural transactions, including mineral leases and development arrangements.

Property finance and security arrangements.

The team works closely with colleagues across private client, tax, planning and other specialist disciplines, providing exposure to the wider legal and commercial considerations affecting rural landowners and estates.

About You

We are interested in speaking with solicitors from NQ to approximately 2 years PQE who have experience in, or a demonstrable commitment to developing within, agricultural and rural property law.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience in agricultural property, rural land or a relevant real estate practice.
• An interest in landed estates, farming businesses and the rural economy.
• Strong technical ability and attention to detail.
• Confidence managing transactions and communicating with clients.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach.
• Enthusiasm for developing long‑term relationships with clients and rural professional advisers.
