A highly regarded private client practice is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its International Tax, Trusts and Succession team in London. This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative and internationally focused team advising high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals, families, trustees and family offices on complex tax and wealth structuring matters. The team is known for combining technical excellence with commercially focused advice, helping international clients navigate the tax, succession and structuring challenges that arise from cross border wealth. This role offers exposure to high quality work, strong client relationships and a clear platform for career progression.
The Role
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of international private client tax and succession matters, including:
- Advising internationally mobile individuals relocating to or leaving the UK and navigating the 4 year Foreign Income and Gains regime
- Structuring wealth for internationally resident families with complex cross border holdings
- Advising trustees on changing tax rules and restructuring or winding down offshore structures
- Estate and succession planning for international families and cross border couples
- Advising family offices and non resident investors on UK tax exposure and structuring
- Creation and structuring of Family Investment Companies and discretionary trusts
- Advising families with international real estate portfolios held through onshore and offshore structures
- Cross border estate planning including coordination with overseas advisers
You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on sophisticated advisory matters while also developing your own client relationships.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years PQE in private client with a strong international focus
- Experience advising HNW or UHNW individuals, families or trustees
- Strong technical grounding in UK personal tax, trusts and succession planning
- Experience working with internationally mobile clients and cross border structures
- Commercial awareness and the ability to translate technical advice into practical solutions
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
You should be comfortable taking responsibility for matters, working closely with clients and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
