Private Client – Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor 1 to 3 PQE – London

A highly regarded mid sized London firm is seeking a Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor at 1 to 3 PQE to join its top ranked Legal 500 team.

Working closely with a highly respected Partner and the Head of Contentious Private Client, you will gain hands on experience across a broad and high quality caseload involving HNW and UHNW clients.

The role

You will support and gradually take ownership of matters including:

• Will validity disputes
• Probate and estate administration disputes
• Executor and trustee challenges
• Claims under the Inheritance Act
• Professional negligence claims involving will writers
• Optional exposure to contentious Court of Protection work

This is a role suited to someone who wants genuine development, strong mentorship, and early responsibility on high value and technically interesting matters.

The Clients

The clients include HNW and UHNW individuals and families, often with estates and trusts valued at £2m+, including international and cross border elements. The team is known for its measured, calm and empathetic approach to sensitive disputes.

The ideal candidate

• 1 to 3 PQE in contentious probate or broader litigation with an interest in this area
• Strong communication skills with a calm and empathetic manner
• Confident managing files under supervision and working collaboratively
• STEP or ACTAPS qualifications welcomed but not essential
