Lex Exec is instructed on a London based Private Client Associate role with a clear international focus. This is a growth hire into a team advising internationally connected individuals and families on complex UK and cross border structuring. The international dimension is central to the role, and applicants will need to be able to demonstrate this experience.
The Opportunity
- Pre immigration tax planning
- The statutory residence test
- Estate planning for non Long Term Resident individuals
- Global asset structuring
- Succession planning and family governance for international families
- UK tax treatment of inbound investment, including UK property holding structures
- Offshore trusts and cross border fiduciary structures
The client base includes internationally mobile individuals, non-UK domicilies, and families with assets across multiple jurisdictions. You will also be expected to contribute to marketing and business development, particularly in expanding the London and international client base.
The Candidate
This role will suit a solicitor with 1-2 years PQE who can demonstrate:
- Hands on experience advising internationally connected individuals
- Exposure to offshore trusts and cross border structuring
- A strong grounding in UK personal tax
- Excellent drafting and technical skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence in client facing situations
- Italian or French language skills would be advantageous
Crucially, this is not a purely domestic private client role. Some prior international experience is key, for example if you are working in a mixed practice currently with exposure to both domestic and international private client matters this will be sufficient.
Why Consider This Role
- High quality cross border work from day one
- Exposure to global families and complex asset structures
- Close collaboration with corporate, real estate and family specialists
- A platform to build an international private client practice in London
- If your current role offers limited international exposure and you want to develop genuine expertise in this space, this move could materially accelerate your trajectory.
