We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse/ODP to join our dynamic team. The core purpose of this role is to primarily work within Orthopaedics; however, due to service demand, you may work in various specialties.
As an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse/ODP, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of patients within the operating theatre. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support throughout the perioperative environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the operating list from start to completion, escalating concerns promptly.
- Preparing the operating room for a range of cases, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and staff are available.
- Scrubbing and circulating for various procedures within your scope of practice, including elective, trauma, and emergency cases.
- Communicating effectively with the surgical and multidisciplinary teams.
- Supporting post-operative care and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Participating in training and mentoring staff and students.
- Organizing specialized equipment for procedures and communicating with relevant parties.
- Completing clinical audits to ensure compliance.
