Join to apply for the Medical Rota Coordinator role at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Medical Rota Coordinator is responsible for managing the Women’s & Children (W&C) medical rotas. A key function of this role will include the co-ordination of medical staff rotas to ensure the service is resourced to the required levels each day.
Rota management to include:
- compliance
- hours
- induction
- locum bookings of the junior doctors across the division
Advising Service Manager and Lead Clinicians on rota issues and absence recording in line with relevant policies e.g. Special Leave Policy. Ahead of the implementation of e-rostering, devising systems to compile and record sickness, annual leave and study leave. The devising and management of W&C Consultants, middle grade and junior doctor’s rota. Take a lead role in filling all vacant shifts, ensuring there is a weekly contingency plan in place. To ensure the efficient organisation of the rotas, co-ordinating doctors leave in order to support the delivery of the service. To support Clinical Directors, Lead Clinicians, SPRs to ensure that there is appropriate medical cover across the division.
Allocate junior doctors’ four, six and twelve monthly rota patterns. Be the main point of contact for securing locum cover for Consultants, junior doctors and middle grade staff where there is a staffing shortfall. Be the main point of contact for collecting and recording Consultants Middle Grade & Junior Doctor annual leave, study leave and sick leave.
