Zero2Five are delighted to be working with a high-quality, independent day nursery in Hither Green, who are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Room Leader to join their team and lead their Preschool Room. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional looking to lead a room, inspire and support a team, and make a real difference to children's learning, development and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Passion for children's learning and development
- Confident, organised and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
Room Leader Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room
- Lead and support the room team, creating a positive and welcoming environment
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging activities that support children's learning and development
- Embed the EYFS into everyday practice
- Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families
- Complete observations, assessments and next steps
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Support children's independence, confidence and school readiness
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed
- Support and guide staff within the room
- Work closely with management to maintain high standards
- Attend training and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery
