This role will have responsibility for the Council’s corporate property and estates function outside of the housing portfolio. As Corporate Property and Estates Manager, you will provide strategic and inspirational leadership and be an active and influential member of the directorate’s asset management team. You will have sound commercial knowledge combined with strong contract management skills in managing the council’s non-housing estate including landlord and tenant items as well as the corporate property register and database.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with extensive experience of property/asset management (experience in local authority context is desirable). Whether it be property consolidation or site disposals and anything in between, you'll help drive the strategic decision-making around the use of council assets, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the estate is occupied on an optimal basis at all times and the commercial estate generates optimal returns for the Council. You will have an ability to work under pressure, juggling competing priorities and dealing with conflicting deadlines. You will have strong commercial skills, an eye for accuracy and great people skills and experience of managing, supporting and working alongside a diverse range of people.

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
