Take a leading role in tackling complex housing challenges. As a Senior Property Surveyor, you will drive high-quality surveying across disrepair, damp and major repairs, ensuring residents receive safe, compliant and well-maintained homes.

What’s the role? You will manage complex cases including disrepair, damp and structural issues, ensuring accurate diagnosis, robust specifications and effective resolution. Working closely with contractors and internal teams, you will oversee the quality, compliance and value for money of repair and maintenance works, while ensuring all activity meets statutory and regulatory requirements. You will act as a technical expert within the service, providing advice, supporting decision-making and contributing to the management of legal cases and customer escalations. The role also involves monitoring contractor performance, identifying trends from property data, and using this insight to inform service improvements and asset planning. Alongside this, you will support the development of junior staff, promote high professional standards, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the repairs and maintenance service.

What we’re looking for: We’re looking for a confident and credible leader who leads by example and sets the standard for professional, customer-focused service delivery. You will have strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop teams, build capability and drive performance. Detail-oriented and organised, you will ensure high-quality outputs across inspections, specifications and case management. You will bring a proactive approach to problem solving, confidently managing complex situations and competing priorities. A strong commitment to customer outcomes is essential, with the ability to balance technical decisions with resident needs. Above all, you will be motivated to drive continuous improvement, using insight and experience to challenge performance and deliver better results.

Location: The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions: Must have a driving license. Weekend working is required for this job. The job is subject to a basic DBS check.
