Introduction
We are looking for a Senior SEN Caseworker to join our SEN Team (Birth to NC Year 7):

- the ability to complete complex processes efficiently and to a high standard within defined deadlines?
- The ability to work in time-pressured environments, and excellent organisational skills?
What is the role?
To be part of a team of Senior SEN case officers and have responsibility managing a cohort of EHCPs.
To secure appropriate placements and education for CYP with an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP).
To ensure the LA meets its statutory obligations in response to EHC annual reviews.
To be responsible for managing the EHC needs assessment process

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- is ambitious for our CYP with SEND, and who strives to support them to meet their aspirations and achieve better outcomes.
- has experience with working with CYP with SEND and their families.
- has sound knowledge of the legal frameworks and experience working within these frameworks.
- is committed to implement the Council's Equal Opportunities Policies.
Location
The job is primarily based in Kaleidoscope, 32 Rushey Green, London SE6 4JD but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office/settings and from home on a regular basis.

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
