Adult Learning Lewisham is looking to recruit a full‑time, permanent contract Curriculum Leader for Textiles and Floral Design (TFD) Department. The post will be at Lewisham Council PO2 scale Point 38, depending on qualifications and experience. The post holder will work 35 hours per week, hours to be agreed, with some evening and weekend work.

What’s the role?

The post holder will be expected to have experience of the key aspects of the Curriculum Leader role across the entire TFD curriculum department, including:

  • Full lesson observations
  • Monitoring enrolment against targets
  • Coordinating programme planning
  • Organising resources and purchasing through e‑procurement
  • Updating QIP and SAR

Ongoing support will come from the CAM and the curriculum team. The post holder should ideally be a qualified Textile and Floral Design specialist tutor and part of the current teaching team.

What We’re Looking For

You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality delivery of a range of courses within the curriculum department for Textiles and Floral Design, benefiting the residents of Lewisham and beyond, while meeting funding criteria and managing a team of staff.

Location

The job is primarily based across our three centres in London Borough Lewisham, but operates a hybrid approach requiring both office and home working on a regular basis.

Special conditions

Subject specialist with relevant teaching experience. Evening and weekend working may be required.

Salary: £45,852 to £47,925 per annum (P02). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
