The Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint a Temporary Accommodation Health and Safety Officer with knowledge, experience, and skills in working with our housing providers and the tenants to acquire the relevant gas, electric, and energy performance certificates. The post holder will also manage the Council's compliance processes ensuring the coordination, control, and verification of compliance certification across all temporary accommodations. The successful completion of this task would ensure the Council meets its statutory compliance for all its temporary accommodation stock.
Planning and delivering digital content that considers best user journeys, you will work with colleagues from a wide range of services to review, optimise, and improve areas on the website to improve the user journey and support the Council's aims and objectives. You will support the development and roll-out of our new digital content strategy, with a focus on our website and intranet.

What we're looking for
This position will be fixed term for 12 months. We are seeking an experienced officer with a good working knowledge of current health and safety-related legislation and guidance, and an understanding of the responsibilities for safety, health, and welfare placed on all parties involved in health and safety compliance. They must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions, and processes involved in the provisions of a health and safety regulatory compliance service. Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
