About Greenvale School

Greenvale School is a Lewisham community special school for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties (SLD & PMLD). Many pupils have additional diagnoses including autism, physical disabilities and medical needs.

Locations

Key Stage 3 and 4 students are located at Waters Rd, Catford. Key Stage 5 and Glade Provision students are based at Mayow Road, Forest Hill.

Role Overview

The successful applicant will be able to work with the whole range of pupils at Greenvale and will be willing to be based on either site. The role includes a comprehensive induction programme, planned professional development and support from leadership. All staff and volunteers are required to share in the school’s safeguarding and welfare commitments. The successful applicant will be subject to all Lewisham pre‑employment checks, including DBS, right to work, overseas and prohibition checks as well as an Enhanced Disclosure for the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Qualifications & Experience

We welcome Early Career Teachers and teachers with or without direct SEND teaching experience. No other specific qualifications are mandatory; relevant teaching experience and commitment to SEND education are valued.
