What\’s the role? …
We are looking for a skilled administrator to efficiently oversee diverse administrative responsibilities and deliver comprehensive business support for the Safer Communities Service.

You will manage emails and phone calls for the Licensing & Trading Standards Team or the ASB & Statutory Nuisance Team, respond in a timely manner, and distribute relevant correspondence to team officers efficiently.

You will record Incoming complaints submitted via email, phone, or online reporting forms and record the information in the relevant database accurately and promptly so they can be assigned to officers for follow-up.

What we\’re looking for?
We are looking for two candidates who have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: Licensing, Trading Standards, Anti-social Behaviour, Statutory Nuisance, or Community Safety. You will demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and workloads with confidence. You understand how to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion. Your strong attention to detail ensures you deliver high-quality administrative support. You consistently meet performance standards, maintaining accuracy and efficiency across all core business processes.

Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, 1Catford Road, SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions

  • Good standard of general education
  • Able to attend meetings in the evenings, to work outside normal office hours and to work beyond minimum hours when required to achieve deadlines
  • The job is subject to a basic DBS check

Salary
Β£37,509 – Β£38,637 per annum (SC6)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
