Role Overview: We are looking to fill vacancies at different levels in accredited and non-accredited ESOL, COMESOL and Functional Skills English courses. Evening tutors are particularly sought after, though daytime classes and cover teaching are available. We work with tutors to develop a timetable that fits their availability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-course assessment and assign learners to appropriate courses.
- Plan and deliver lessons, addressing learner needs and supporting progress.
- Help learners achieve qualification goals where applicable.
- Receive induction, use our MIS and VLE systems, share best practices and attend staff development.
Qualifications:
- Qualified ESOL/English practitioner or working towards a Level 4 qualification with English/ESOL specialism.
- Demonstrable skills in incorporating inclusive and impactful technologies and teaching resources.
- Familiarity with ESOL or English Functional Skills and/or GCSE qualifications.
- Experience of pre-course assessment, quality assurance and internal moderation (preferred).
- Preferred ability or experience in both ESOL and Functional Skills areas.
