We’re seeking a passionate Health and Wellbeing Worker to support young people aged 8–21 (up to 25 with SEND) through tailored, early interventions. You’ll empower them to make positive life choices and improve their overall wellbeing. Join us to help create meaningful, lasting change in young people’s lives.
The Health and Wellbeing Worker holds a caseload of one-to-one support, group work, and delivers activities that empower young people to make informed life choices. You’ll work closely with health practitioners and community partners to provide holistic, youth-centred support. Using frameworks like Young-Thrive and Outcome Star, you’ll measure impact and help shape services that truly meet young people’s needs. You will work closely with practitioners within Lewisham's GP Youth Clinics to provide youth-led support for children and young people’s health and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For
The Health and Wellbeing Worker plays a key role in supporting young people to lead happier, healthier lives. You’ll be someone who can build trusting relationships and provide guidance to help them overcome challenges and make positive choices. Working as part of a dynamic, multi-agency team, you’ll connect young people with the right support and opportunities. Your work will focus on promoting mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing through creative, youth-led approaches. You’ll help shape programmes that respond to local needs and empower young people to thrive. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a lasting difference in their community.
Location
The job is primarily based in Youth sites and buildings across Lewisham; but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
Special conditions
- Relevant professional qualification in Youth Work is needed e.g. Level 3 certificate in Youth Work practice and/or Level 3 Diploma
- Weekend working may be required for this job
- The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check
