Learning Support Assistant (SEND) required for 1:1 care for a child with health needs. We are seeking to recruit a capable, proactive and caring individual to provide educational support to a pupil with health needs. While the successful candidate will predominantly be working within a small team to support an individual pupil, they will also be an integrated member of Horniman Primary Schools community.

Responsibilities

  • Closely monitor the pupil to ensure wellbeing
  • Support the pupil’s learning and communication
  • Maximise educational and social opportunities

Qualifications

  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Genuine desire to work with pupils with a range of needs
  • Flexibility and confidence to find ways to engage pupils with learning

Training and Support

  • Training will be provided prior to commencement
  • Long handover period will be given
