We are seeking an IT Project Officer (2 year fixed term) to support the delivery of essential IT projects that enhance the services we provide to our community. You will play a vital role in the successful implementation of IT projects by providing administrative and logistical support. You will work closely with project managers and teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, managing documentation, and tracking progress.
- Assist with project planning, risk management, and reporting.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
- Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines.

- Deliver on projects assigned to an agreed direction, timescale and budget.
- Take decisions in relation to project options within agreed tolerance levels.
- Undertake commissioning, procurement and management of external support as required for the delivery of project/programmes in line with the Council procedures.
- Work closely with staff within the division and wider Directorate/Council to ensure the optimum delivery team and corporate delivery priorities are met.
- Work closely with all stakeholders in order to ensure that their requirements are considered and met.
- Develop and implement appropriate project controls and systems to ensure effective management of risk and financial probity.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen and understand the needs of the client or customer and be able to deliver appropriate and innovative solutions.
