Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – SEN Specialist Support

Deptford Park Primary School is seeking two HLTAs to join our team from September 2026, working with our classes for children with Severe Learning Difficulty (SLD).

Responsibilities

  • Support children with Severe Learning Difficulty (SLD) in the classroom setting.
  • Provide specialist assistance to children with SLD, PMLD, ASD and other complex needs.
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to promote learning and development.

Qualifications

  • Passion for working with children with SLD.
  • Experience and knowledge of the needs of children and young people with SLD, PMLD, ASD and complex needs.
  • Commitment to a relational approach, teamwork and a supportive school culture.

Salary Details

Scale 6 – Spine Point 18-20 (Β£37,509 - Β£38,637 Pro-rata for TTO)
