Role Overview
You will provide high‑level administrative, policy and communications support to the Group Leader and Labour Group, coordinating meetings, drafting briefings and reports, and supporting decision‑making processes. You’ll act as a key link between Members, officers and external partners and work on sensitive and complex issues in a dynamic political environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings and support decision‑making processes for the Group Leader and Labour Group.
- Draft briefings, reports and other high‑quality communication materials at pace.
- Act as a key link between Members, officers and external partners.
- Support senior stakeholders and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Work independently, think critically and provide sound advice in a political or complex stakeholder environment.
Qualifications
- Highly organised, proactive, able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear, high‑quality materials.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and handling confidential matters with discretion.
- Confident operating in a political or complex stakeholder environment.
- Ability to work independently, think critically and provide sound advice.
- Collaborative, building effective relationships across a wide network.

Salary
£51,228 to £53,319 per annum (POL ASSNT)
Location
The job is primarily based at Lewisham Civic Suite, Catford Road, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, with a hybrid approach requiring you to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
