What’s the role?
- Provide sessions which support babies and children’s development, encourage parent-child attachment, focus on outdoor learning, and allow babies and children to build a good framework for life and its challenges from the youngest years.
- Deliver EYFS-focused group sessions for babies, children and their families in Family Hubs and other delivery sites as directed by the line manager, with a particular focus on delivering learning outcomes.
- Deliver some sessions online as required.
- Lead on the facilitation of evidence-based interventions on a 1:1 and group basis across Family Hubs and spoke sites.

- Use own initiative to deliver sessions in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Adapt session delivery to meet the needs of a range of diverse communities.
- Be passionate about working with families and children to reduce escalation of need by accessing early intervention service within the community.
- Location
The job is primarily based within the community across Lewisham's Family Hubs and associated Network Sites.
- Special conditions
- Possessing a childcare qualification at level three or above or other equivalent qualification; or possess recent significant experience in working with babies or young children and be willing to attend training within 6 months of appointment.
- Weekend working is required for this job.
- The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
- This is a 1 year fixed term post.
