Adult Learning Lewisham is looking to recruit a full time, permanent contract Curriculum Leader for Textiles and Floral Design (TFD) Department. The post will be at Lewisham Council PO2 scale Point 38, depending on qualifications and experience. The post holder will work 35 hours per week, hours of work to be agreed but the post will be subject to some evening and weekend work.
The post holder will be expected to have some experience of the key aspects of the Curriculum Leader role across the whole of the Textile and Floral Design (TFD) curriculum department, including:
- Full Lesson Observations
- Monitoring enrolment against targets
- Co‑ordinating Programme Planning
- Organising resources and purchasing through e‑procurement
- Updating Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) and Self Assessment Reports (SAR)
There will be ongoing support from the CAM and the curriculum team. A full list of expected tasks is available upon request and can be found within the Job Description and Person Specification. It would be desirable if the post holder is experienced and qualified Textile and Floral Design specialist tutor and it is desirable if they are part of the current teaching team.

You will be responsible to ensure the high quality delivery of a range of courses within the curriculum department for Textiles and Floral Design for the benefit of the residents of Lewisham and beyond its environs as well as meeting funding criteria and managing a team of staff.
The job is primarily based across our 3 centres in London Borough Lewisham, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
