About Us
The Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools is a multi‑academy trust comprising three schools:
- Prendergast Ladywell School
- Prendergast School
- Prendergast Vale School
Your Role
As a co‑opted governor, you will:
- Scrutinise the school improvement plan and hold school leaders accountable for its delivery.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of policies related to safeguarding, SEND, pupil premium, and equalities.
- Listen to and collaborate with pupils, parents, staff, and the wider community, including local employers.
- Serve on headteacher recruitment panels and participate in Ofsted inspections.

Commitment
- Attend four local governing body meetings per year (approximately 2 hours each).
- Participate in 1‑2 monitoring visits to your allocated school.
- Read relevant materials and engage fully during meetings.
- School visits are expected.
