Ashmead Primary School – Teaching Assistant with Midday Meals Supervision. The role involves working flexibly across different year groups, providing strong class support and effective 1:1 or small group assistance. Opportunities for graduate candidates to transition to a teaching apprenticeship after successfully working as a teaching assistant.

Location: Ashmead Primary School, Ashmead Road, Deptford, London, SE8 4DX

What we are looking for:

  • Proactive, creative individuals who enjoy working with individuals and as part of a team.
  • Ability to assess a child’s needs and suggest appropriate tasks and strategies.
  • Initiative, willingness to play an active part in the life of the whole school.

Salary: Approx £24,000 per annum.

Working Hours: Term time only, 39 weeks per year. 31.25 hours per week (8.50am to 3.35pm) or 22 hours per week (8.50am to 1.15pm).

Start Date: September 2026
