Do you have a desire to ensure that local residents feel safe in their homes? Do you have experience of using relevant housing and anti-social behaviour (ASB) legislation and good practice to address ASB and reduce the harm that it causes? Are you able to work effectively as part of a team and build relationships with key stakeholders, and use partnership working to deliver positive outcomes for our tenants and local communities? Are you a problem solver who is able to assess risk and offer practical solutions to complex situations?
As an ASB Officer reporting to the ASB Manager, you will be part of a team managing high risk and complex ASB and hate incident cases involving council tenants and impacting our local communities. You will manage your own caseload from referral through to successful resolution, and provide advice and guidance to colleagues in the Housing Directorate as well as local residents and partner agencies. You will take a victim led approach and work in partnership with other agencies using the full range of tools and powers available to us to address ASB and reduce the harm that it causes to Lewisham residents.

You will have experience of working in partnership to address ASB, managing cases from initial reports through to successful case resolution, including making applications to court. You will be flexible and innovative and able to offer and embrace new approaches to problem solving. You will have a good understanding of the issues and challenges facing a social housing provider regarding ASB, be resilient under pressure and able to respond effectively when faced with conflicting demands. You will have excellent communication skills and a desire to keep our diverse communities safe from harm.
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
The postholder may be required to attend meetings outside of normal working hours. The job is subject to a basic DBS check.
