Lewisham College - NCG is seeking a passionate, driven individual to join our dynamic senior leadership team, which is led by an ambitious and committed Principal, along with a Vice Principal, three Assistant Principals, Director of Quality and other service leads. Following a GOOD Ofsted outcome, the college has refreshed its 7-year Strategic Plan and developed an investment strategy to ensure we have the resources and facilities required to prepare individuals for the workforce of today, for the jobs of tomorrow and the roles that don’t yet exist. We’re now seeking a passionate and experienced educational leader to be part of the team to lead the next phase of our development in essential & technical education, apprenticeships, and employer responsive curriculum. This is a pivotal leadership role. You’ll be responsible for driving excellence across our vocational provision — ensuring high standards of teaching, strong industry engagement, and real-world progression for every learner.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Vice Principal to lead, develop curriculum and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead curriculum areas in your area of responsibility.
  • Strengthen relationships with employers, industry bodies and stakeholders.
  • Drive quality improvement and ensure an outstanding learner experience.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the senior leadership team to deliver the college-wide strategy and One NCG.

The Assistant Principal will be motivated by student success, have an advanced understanding of curriculum development & delivery. The post offers the opportunity to develop high-level leadership skills and the ability to work cross-group on key projects and priorities aligned to the role and responsibilities. With this motivation, the Assistant Principal will be able to deliver NCG’s strategic objectives and mission, demonstrating a commitment to the vision. The Principal is open to applications from ambitious middle manager leaders looking for their next step or applications from more experienced leaders who would like to broaden their experience.
