We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic operational manager to join our Lewisham Medicine & Community division in the role of Deputy General Manager. This role is pivotal to lead on the transformation and provision of high quality services for the community we serve.
Working with an engaged team of dedicated healthcare professionals and the Divisional Management team including the Divisional Director, General Manager, Clinical Leads and Matrons, you will develop the services which deliver best practice whilst maintaining financial performance. You will be responsible for the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to our patients as well as progressing the services within a business focus environment.
Our ideal candidate will have healthcare or NHS experience and possess a strong track record of operational delivery, strong financial management knowledge and skills, coupled with effective leadership skills. You will also have the ability to develop strong, productive and collaborative relationships both internally and with key stakeholders.

To provide timely, efficient and effective operational management support for divisional service areas, assisting the lead clinicians and senior managers as required and ensuring that these services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible clinical and
performance standards.
To take forward agreed projects to improve patient pathway, service delivery and patient experience in agreed areas.
To lead on ensuring that all performance/quality targets are
achieved.
To problem solve as appropriate, developing and implementing lasting solutions in conjunction with clinical and managerial colleagues. To be a key member of the divisional
management team, taking full responsibility for actions and for keeping other team members fully informed at all times.
You will be responsible for the delivery of all performance metrics and KPI (Quality, Operational and Financial) targets, proactively identifying expectations and developing improvement plans with service leaders and clinicians. You will also be involved in business case planning for the division.
