Overview: Established in 2015, the Primary Inclusion Team has built a strong reputation across Salford for its relational, child‑centred and solution‑focused approach. Through coaching, consultation, training and specialist support, the team combines high levels of support with professional challenge to help schools develop sustainable inclusive practice and improve outcomes for children experiencing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. These positions offer a unique opportunity to work beyond a single school setting and make a significant difference to children, families, and school communities across the city.
Responsibilities:
- Secure understanding of barriers to child participation, engagement, and success within mainstream education.
- Provide excellent communication, coaching and consultation skills and support school staff to develop effective inclusive practice.
- Support and provide professional challenge to senior leaders and staff across a range of school contexts.
- Support children with SEMH needs through relational, inclusive, evidence‑informed practice.
- Deliver high‑quality and engaging training and professional development.
- Be an effective and adaptable team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate resilience, self‑reflection and a sense of humour.
- Commit to improving outcomes for children and young people through collaborative working and solution‑focused practice.
Qualifications: Experienced teachers only.
