Delivery Analyst

The Applications team at Lewis Silkin is made up of Product, Data & Architecture and Finance Transformation.

The Delivery Analyst will sit across all three functions, although initially they will be working solely for the Business Applications team within the Product area.

Delivery is a new area within Applications and will report to the Director of Applications, working day-to-day, initially, with the Portfolio Lead.

This is an exciting time within the team as we look to improve our ways of working and methodologies.

The Delivery Analyst is the connective tissue between the business and the Applications team.

You will take incoming demand from stakeholders across the firm, shape it into well-formed, buildable work for our developers, and then guide that work through testing and into the hands of users.

You will also help us run the agile cadence for the Applications team.

Initially focusing on the Business Applications team setting the rhythm, keeping the team focused, and making sure nothing falls between the cracks.

Over time, you will have the opportunity to work across the wider Applications team and help define how delivery is done at Lewis Silkin.

Please note this role can be based either from our London, Cardiff or Manchester office.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the work
• Act as the first point of contact for new demand coming into the Business Applications team, triaging requests and working with stakeholders to understand what they really need.
• Refine business asks into clear, well-formed user stories with acceptance criteria that are ready for development.
• Capture non-functional considerations (security, performance, licensing, data) alongside functional requirements.
• Curate and maintain a healthy backlog, keeping it prioritised, sized and free of duplication in partnership with the business and the Portfolio Lead.
• Run the work
• Run the sprint cadence for the Business Applications team; planning, stand‑ups, refinement, review and retrospective.
• Manage dependencies between the Business Applications team and other parts of Applications (Dev Squad, Data & Architecture, Finance Systems, Platform & Infrastructure).
• Track and surface delivery metrics; throughput, velocity, sprint health. To give the team and the wider business a clear view of progress.
• Own risks, issues and blockers, escalating where appropriate and keeping stakeholders informed.
• Use Azure Dev Ops and Monday. com as the primary tools for backlog, sprint and delivery tracking.
• Land the work
• Design and coordinate UAT; building test plans, briefing business testers, tracking defects and driving sign‑off.
• Communicate back out to the business throughout the delivery cycle, so there are no surprises at release.
• Support release readiness, user comms, training notes and post‑release hyper‑care.
• Champion a “minimum loveable product” mindset; prioritising things users will actually value, not just the minimum that ships.
• Feed learnings from retros and releases back into how the team works, helping us continuously improve.

About you

You are a naturally organised, curious, and collaborative person who enjoys turning ambiguity into clarity.

You are comfortable talking to a developer one moment and a partner in the business the next, and you can flex your style to suit the audience.

You take pride in the quality of what your team ships, and you care as much about the experience users have as the technology behind it.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate

• Ideally 2–4 years’ experience in a delivery, business analysis, product or scrum‑related role.
• Training in agile methodologies, with practical experience of running or supporting sprint ceremonies.
• Confidence writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and a good instinct for what makes work “ready” for development.
• Experience designing and coordinating UAT, including drafting test plans and working with non‑technical testers.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills – able to translate between business language and technical detail.
• A practical, hands‑on approach to backlog management, prioritisation and dependency tracking.
• Comfort working with delivery tooling such as Azure Dev Ops and Monday. com (or similar).
• Recognised certification in agile delivery (e. g. Scrum, PSM/CSM, SAFe, Agile PM) or business analysis (e. g. BCS), ideal, but not essential.
• Exposure to the legal sector or another professional services environment, ideal, but not essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar business application platforms, ideal, but not essential.
