We are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious law firm client for a Legal Support Team Leader to join their high-performing Private Wealth department in Manchester. This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created role within one of the largest and most respected Private Wealth teams outside of London, with a clear focus on delivering first-class support and ensuring operational excellence.
This team advises an impressive client base including high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, landowners, and international clients. Their work spans complex estate planning, tax strategies, will drafting, trust creation, estate administration, and contentious probate matters. Despite the size and complexity of the work, the team retains a collaborative, supportive and engaging working culture.
As Legal Support Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the department. You’ll lead and support a dedicated team of administrative professionals, ensuring a smooth and efficient service to fee earners and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing and streamlining administrative workflows
- Managing the billing and payment processes
- Supervising and developing a team of six support administrators
- Coordinating file opening procedures and maintaining compliance
- Handling digital dictation and document transcription
- Acting as the go-to person for operational and administrative support
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior legal administration role within a law firm
- Strong supervisory or line management background – able to motivate and manage people and processes
- Experience within a Private Wealth or Private Client team would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Organised, proactive, and confident communicator with a problem-solving mindset
