The Opportunity
You’ll join a team known for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused planning advice to a diverse client base spanning housebuilders, developers, investors, and major commercial organisations. The structure of the team allows for real flexibility—whether collaborating as part of a wider advisory group or taking ownership of matters independently—giving you the autonomy to develop your own style while being fully supported. This role offers a strong mix of both contentious and non-contentious planning work, ensuring variety and long-term development.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on complex planning matters across a broad client base
- Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
- Handling planning appeals, objections, and enforcement issues
- Advising on highways and infrastructure-related matters
- Providing guidance on Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)
- Supporting on permitted development rights and prior approval processes
- Advising on telecoms-related planning issues and specialist matters such as town and village greens
- Assisting with the planning elements of real estate and corporate transactions, including due diligence
About You
This role will suit an ambitious solicitor looking to develop their career within a progressive and commercially driven environment. Qualified Solicitor (all PQE levels considered) with planning law experience. Strong technical ability with a commercial mindset.
