We’re working in partnership with a highly regarded and fast-growing law firm that is investing heavily in its Residential Conveyancing offering in Newcastle and Glasgow. As part of this expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to step into a pivotal role within a high-performing, commercially driven team. This is not just another conveyancing role — it’s a chance to take ownership, influence direction, and play a key part in scaling a successful and ambitious department.
The Opportunity
- You’ll take the lead on a varied and high-volume caseload of residential property transactions, primarily acting on behalf of institutional and lender clients.
- From instruction through to completion, you’ll be trusted to run matters efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
- Alongside fee-earning, you’ll have genuine scope to contribute to the growth of the team — mentoring junior lawyers, improving processes, and helping shape the future structure of the department.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing end-to-end residential conveyancing transactions.
- Acting for financial institutions on property sales.
- Drafting contracts, title reports, auction packs, completion statements and transfer documentation.
- Liaising with clients, asset managers, third parties and customers to drive transactions forward.
- Ensuring compliance with SLAs and internal procedures.
- Supporting and mentoring junior fee earners.
- Contributing to team performance, development and operational improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), 5+ PQE or Senior Conveyancer.
- Strong track record in residential conveyancing.
- Confident handling a high-volume caseload with precision and pace.
- Commercially astute with a client-first mindset.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable using case management systems and working in a structured environment.
- A team player with the drive to step into a leadership capacity.
