Who are we and what do we do? Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is an independent local Dorset charity providing extraordinary care to people and their loved ones facing a life-limiting illness. We support over one thousand patients and families every year in their homes, virtually, and at our hubs across Swanage, Wareham, Poole, Wimborne, Christchurch and Bournemouth.

About the Role: We’re looking for an organised, proactive, and people‑focused individual to join our team as a People and Volunteer Coordinator, based at our hospice in Poole. You’ll play a key part in supporting our employee and volunteer lifecycle processes and help ensure an exceptional, welcoming experience for everyone who joins, supports, or works with our charity. In this role you will report to the People Executive and support both People and Volunteering functions with all aspects of administrative and coordination tasks, including maintaining accurate up‑to‑date records to support the smooth running of the HR department.

About You: Are organised, reliable, and great at managing multiple tasks. Knowledge of effective record keeping. Enjoy connecting with people and building supportive relationships. Communicate with warmth and clarity. Approach work with empathy, inclusivity, and a commitment to our mission. Have experience in any areas of HR or volunteer support, or a similar people‑focused role. Are confident using digital tools, databases, and Microsoft Office. Understand the values of the charity sector and enjoy working collaboratively.
